Meet the Barbers

Montana born and raised, Tucker founded TL Slicks in 2015 after completing barber school under the renowned Thamer Hite. He takes a classic approach to the craft with a modern twist — well-rounded in every style, old-school and new alike.

The chair wasn't his first calling. After numerous stints in the military and years in the labor industry, Tucker wanted a change. It was the memories of the barbershop with his father that pulled him back to the bygone era of classic barbering he'd always missed.

There's always a good story in Tucker's chair. His travels have given him a deep well to draw from, so he'll never be short on one to share. When it comes to your service, he does his best to give you exactly what you want — then takes it a step further, working with your hair type and head shape to hand you something even better than you asked for.

Outside the shop, Tucker loves the outdoors — hunting, fishing, Harley-Davidsons, and building classic cars. Above all else, he treasures time with his amazing son, the light of his life.

Gus has been behind the chair for over six years, and as he puts it, "a series of unfortunate events all led me to the best career move I've ever made." Kalispell born and raised, he's known for sharp tapers, clean fades, and beard trims done with a detail-oriented eye that doesn't miss much.

He reads the room — as chatty or as quiet as you want your visit to be — and he's locked in on getting it right either way. Outside the shop you'll find him in the gym, tinkering with computers or motorcycles, or at home with his wife and two sons.

Eleven years behind the chair, six of them right here at TL Slicks. Brendan's an all-around barber who can handle whatever you bring him, and he's the guy you want for those early-morning cuts when you need to look sharp before the day gets going.

He came into the trade after marrying a hairdresser and owning a salon — that exposure pulled him in, and he liked the idea of building a clientele he actually enjoyed working with. These days he describes himself simply: a craftsman there to facilitate your expression.

Sit in Brendan's chair and you'll get good, ongoing conversation — he's full of interesting knowledge and more than capable of a solid rant. His regulars know the talk is half the reason they keep coming back.

Outside the shop, Brendan's a family man who stays after it in the gym and lays down a low end on bass.

Seven years in the trade counting barber school, Luke has been part of TL Slicks since September 2020. He's the guy for specialty work — skin fades, tapers, burst fades, and anything that calls for a little extra. His favorite work is the sharp lines and edge-ups broken up by super-blurry blends, the kind of cuts that are as satisfying to make as they are to wear.

He came to barbering looking for something different than aircraft maintenance. He'd taken his own hair seriously since kindergarten, and when his brother opened the shop, it just made sense. The chair was waiting for him.

The vibe in Luke's chair depends entirely on who's in it. He reads your energy and matches it — quiet and focused with some ASMR if that's what you want, or a listening ear if you've got something to work through. You never know what someone brings to the chair, and Luke shows up for whatever it is. To him, that's the most important part of the service.

He won't sugarcoat anything, and he means that about more than your haircut. If you trust him with something, he stands by his word and sticks with you until it's figured out. As he puts it, softening the edges doesn't help anybody — life won't soften the blow, so you might as well get comfortable being uncomfortable.

Outside the shop, you'll find Luke on his chopper, chasing down the answers to life's bigger questions and up for anything that catches his interest.
